Aaron Stewart is General Counsel at VME Coop, a retail technology worker co-op with offices in the UK and Malta, and Coop Exchange, a start-up platform co-op. Aaron is also a founding member of the UK Coop Law Association and advisor to Kandoroo CIC, a not-for-profit co-op which uses digital technology to enable foodbank users to shop with dignity using an app in grocery co-ops. Aaron has over 20 years’ experience of supporting organisations on a wide range of related commercial matters including intellectual property protection and licencing. In 2015 he led his delivery team to the finals of the UK Financial Times Legal Innovation Awards and in 2020 played a key part in VME’s conversion to a cooperative EOT. Aaron is currently studying for a Masters Degree in Cooperative Management with St. Mary’s University, Canada.
