Since its inception in 2020, the Global Innovation Coop Summit (GICS) has been a catalyst for collaboration and innovation within the cooperative and mutualist movement. Bringing together leaders and partners from across the globe, GICS provides a neutral and dynamic space to share successes, exchange ideas, and foster the growth of a more inclusive plural economy.

Following the success of our previous gatherings in Paris (2022) and Montreal (2023), the 2025 edition of GICS will be hosted in Torres Vedras, Portugal, by Caixa Agrícola of Torres Vedras.
This year, GICS shines a spotlight on its powerful theme:
“Facing the Tipping Points: The Path of Cooperative Innovation for a Better World.”
Amid today’s pressing global challenges—climate change, resource depletion, and social inequality—this theme underscores the urgent need for bold and innovative cooperative solutions.
As we celebrate the International Year of Cooperatives, GICS’25 serves as a rallying call for cooperative leaders to address these critical issues. Cooperatives are uniquely positioned to champion sustainability, drive global change, and shape a future that prioritizes the well-being of both people and the planet.
