Tyler is the General Manager of Cheticamp Co-operative Ltd which is a consumer cooperative in a rural Acadian village in Nova Scotia, Canada. He has been in this role since August of 2020. Since beginning at Cheticamp cooperative he and his team have been modernizing the operations of the cooperative upgrading inventory management, accounting and other practices. He is currently enrolled in Saint Mary’s University Masters of Management for Cooperatives and Credit Unions and sees the imperative need for cooperatives and the social economy to take a larger role in marginalized communities globally. Along with modernization of his cooperative, he sits on a youth advisory committee for Cooperatives and Mutuals Canada, an advisory committee for the Atlantic Retail Cooperatives Federation. Tyler and his wife both work in executive roles in social enterprises and collaboratively work to improve our rural communities.
