Submission of the online registration form is regarded as a firm booking and acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Only fully completed registration forms will be accepted. A preliminary invoice will be sent after receipt of your registration. The final invoice will be sent upon receipt of payment in full.
Your registration will not be confirmed until full payment has been received.
The registration fee includes the entrance fee for the plenary and parallel sessions on the programme (unless otherwise specified), processing of registrations and registration materials, coffee breaks and a network cocktail. Your registration fee does not include accommodation, transport, and other incidental costs.
The conference room can accommodate a limited number of in-person participants therefore registration will be handled by a “first-come-first-served” basis.
By registering to the 2023 Global Innovation Summit, participants are requested to make their own arrangements for health and travel insurance. The Summit fee does not include insurance.
Warning: Participants must observe all sanitary or other measures that will be adopted on site in the light of the evolution of the pandemic (wearing of masks, disinfection of hands, barrier gestures, physical distancing, etc.).
Groups of more than 5 attendees are entitled to 5% discount.
Contacts for group registration should be done to christina@globalinnovation.coop. You will receive one invoice and one payment receipt for the entire group registration. Should you need individual invoices and payment receipts, please inform us when making the contact.
A registration confirmation will be sent by email after the registration and the related payment has been received. In-person attendees may be requested to present this registration confirmation at the registration counter as proof of their registration and payment.
Payments should be made by credit card or by bank transfer.
You will receive a preliminary invoice with all the payment details by e-mail once you have made your registration on the Summit website. Registration fees are payable by one of the two options below:
By credit card online: you will receive a link to a secure your credit card payment which is connected to an online payment provider. You will receive a credit card receipt after your payment.
By bank transfer: Delegates are required to mention their identification or registration number as a reference on all bank transfers. It should be noted that all transfer charges must be met by the sender. For bank transfers contact christina@globalinnovation.coop
Your registration will be validated, and a final invoice will be sent once we receive confirmation of your payment.
A new registration form for the substitute participant should NOT be submitted. Name changes will be accepted by email indicating the old and new names including the required contact details. For changes please contact christina@globalinnovation.coop.
If you are unable to attend the Summit, we welcome a substitute participant to attend in your place at no extra charge if we have at least eight days prior notice of the name of your proposed substitute and have received payment in full. Please notify us of any substitutions by email at christina@globalinnovation.coop.
The Summit refund policy for those unable to attend the event or transfer their ticket to another delegate is as follows:
Until May 31 = 90% refund
From June 1st to August 31 = 50% refund
From September 1 to September 25 = You can transfer your ticket to another person.
Requests for refunds should be formally submitted to christina@globalinnovation.coop.
All refund requests must have all relevant information regarding the bank account to which a possible refund may be remitted. In the case of over-payment or double payment, refund requests must be made in writing and sent to christina@globalinnovation.coop by email. The email receipt date will be the basis for issuing refunds.
No refunds will be granted for unattended events or early termination of attendance. Note that hotels will have their own cancellation policies.
Individuals requiring an official Letter of invitation from the Summit for purposes of travel or applying for a visa can request one by contacting christina@globalinnovation.coop. To receive a Letter of Invitation, participants must have paid their registration fee and submit any necessary data, as required on the online form.
The letter of invitation in no way binds the Summit financially.
It is the sole responsibility of the attendee to take care of his/her visa requirements. Participants who require an entry visa must allow sufficient time for the application procedure. They should contact the nearest Canadian embassy or consulate to determine the appropriate timing of their visa applications.
The Summit will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants.
It is recommended that participants initiate their visa request at least 50 days prior to the Summit.
The visa will only be given for the dates that are covered by the insurance policy, which need to relate to the travel dates.
Note: Canadian embassies and consulates-general are independent decision-making agencies for visas. You cannot appeal against the rejection of a visa application neither can the Summit intervene on your behalf in case of a rejection or to speed up the procedure.
It is the sole responsibility of the attendee to ensure safe travel to Canada. Attendees should reference the official information provided by their governments or the government of Canada regarding vaccination and safe travel recommendations.
If you must go into quarantine upon arrival in Canda, or on your return to your country, it is your responsibility. Under no circumstances will the Summit be responsible for any additional charges you may incur for subsistence, accommodation, and transport costs.
It is the responsibility of the attendees to arrange appropriate insurance cover in connection with their attendance at the Summit. The Summit is are not responsible for any individual medical, travel or personal insurance.
The Summit registration gives access to the event and does not include the travel arrangements and costs (air, sea or land transportation).
The protection of your data is important to us.
The Summit will collect and store necessary personal information for the preparation and execution of the Global Innovation Cooperative Summit to be held in Montreal, Canada on the 27, 28 & 29 September, 2023.
By registering for this Summit, the parties concerned are agreeing that the Summit may use that personal information to contact them by email, direct mail, telephone or fax, in order to supply information relevant to this Summit, or about other summits, events and opportunities that the organisers are planning and feel may be of interest to them.
You may ask to be removed from the Summit database at any time.
Photos and videos will be taken during the event, for example, in a group of people or when presentations are made or questions asked, and these will be posted and shared by the structures of the Summit website, social media pages or other communications channels having for purpose the promotion of the cooperative movement. Use of the photographic images for purposes other than those described above or for marketing via the transfer of the images to third parties is prohibited.
The Summit website may link to other websites and networking tools provided for the convenience of the users. The contents of these websites are maintained by their owners, for which the Summit takes no responsibility. Neither can responsibility be taken for contents of any website linking to this website.
We reserve the right at all times to change, amend, add or remove any of the above terms without prior notice if one or more of the conditions outlined in these Terms & Conditions should be or become invalid. The remaining conditions will continue to be valid and apply. These Terms & Conditions apply to all participants of this event, including speakers, sponsors and exhibitors.
These general Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada. Any action or proceedings brought by either of them in connection with these general Terms & Conditions will be the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Canada.
